Dementia Unit
 The
Alzheimer's/Dementia Special Care Unit at Lanessa meets the unique
and varied needs of people with memory loss. Central to the success
of our program is our emphasis on family caregivers to help us
in developing ways to care for each resident's unique needs.
Our secure, homelike environment offers residents safety and
families peace of mind. This comprehensive program helps to create
a community in which residents celebrate each day and enjoy life
to the fullest.
- Experienced Nurse and Activities
Director as program co-directors.
- Creative programming to treat
behavioral symptoms such as wandering, sundowning, resisting
help, communication difficulties, etc.
- Dementia-specific Therapeutic
Recreation programs 7 days a week.
- Secured Living Area.
- Enhanced nutrition program to
encourage social interaction, life skills and routines.
